Why do I need Acupuncture?
The way you feel is the direct result of the function and communication of the organ systems within. Stresses on the body from poor diet, unmanaged work/life stress and emotions, environmental conditions, and injuries(sports, motor vehicle, repetitive use….any injury) leads to the disruption of the bodies function and communication resulting in the different body aches, pains, or other functional irregularities. The longer it persists, the more difficult it is for the body to correct it on it’s own. For more than 2500 years, the focus of Chinese Medicine has been on regulating and improving the function of the body by making sure the functional energy of the body, called Qi (pronounced chee; sometimes spelled Chi, or Ki in Japanese), is abundant and moving freely and smoothly. The goal is two fold: by restoring the harmony and balance of the Qi energy, we work on directly resolving the current issues at hand while strengthening the body's ability to better deal with the stresses in the future.
